The San Antonio Missions baseball team and Weston Urban are planning a downtown ballpark. The Soap Factory Apartments, American GI Forum, the former Alamo Downtown Automotive dealership, and a few parking lots are included in the 19-acre aquistion. Jennifer Lopez announced the cancellation of her “This Is Me…Now The Tour,” including her stop in the Alamo City on Friday, July 5. Live Nation stated “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.” Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster for this tour will receive an automatic refund.

Luminaria announced its newest free pop-up art exhibition titled “She Is / Ella Es,” at Saint Paul Square. Curated by Andrea V. Rivas, the show features 14 local women artists including Ashley Perez and Kim Bishop. Stop by for opening night on Friday, June 7, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Hotel Valencia Riverwalk is welcoming its newest Executive Chef, Brian Randolph. He now leads the hotel’s culinary operations like creating menus for the Dorrego’s and Naranja restaurants, catering for meetings, banquets + special events, and in-room dining service. Randolph previously served as Hotel Valencia’s Director of Food and Beverage.
