Local developer Chris Hill plans to build a bar under the Saint Mary’s Street Bridge outside of the Canopy by Hilton Hotel. According to a filing, the $600,000 project will include 200 sqft of bar space along the River Walk. Its estimated completion date is Sept. 16.

Noodles & Dumplings, an El Paso-based Chinese food restaurant, is opening its first San Antonio location at the intersection of Walzem Road and I-35. In addition to serving noodles + various dumplings (hence the name) the eatery also offers spicy cumin beef, mapo tofu, and sesame chicken. Stay tuned for an opening date.

The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is hosting its 8th annual Noche de Romance at Plaza Guadalupe (1327 Guadalupe St.) on Friday, April 12, starting at 8 p.m. Music lovers can enjoy performances by the award-winning Mariachi Azteca de América, Joe Lopez, Rhonda Garcia, and Johnathan Palomar. Tickets start at $20.

El Cevichero introduced its Mexican Brunch menu at its Vibras location (3011 N. Saint Mary’s St.).
