We’re not kiddin’ around. From major attractions like Six Flags Fiesta Texas to hidden gems like Kiddie Park at the San Antonio Zoo, there’s something in the 210 for children of all ages. You’ll have no trouble entertaining the youngsters with this list of 23 kid-friendly activities around the Alamo City.

🦁 Animal encounters

San Antonio Zoo, 3903 N. Saint Mary’s St.
Our local zoo offers a variety of children’s educational programming including Kids Wild Night Out, Will Smith Zoo School, Scout Workshops, and Zoo Camp.

San Antonio Aquarium, 6320 Bandera Rd.
Since 2014, the city’s only aquarium gives kids the opportunity to learn about thousands of species and exhibits that feature tropical fish, sharks, reptiles, and more. Kids will remember Animal Encounters and Mermaids at the aquarium.

Witte Museum, 3801 Broadway
Since 1926, this 10-acre campus has been inspiring people through relevant and experiences in nature, science and culture. Even though the museum primarily engages K-12 students, all are welcomed to experience its 320,000 artifacts and specimens.

Magik Theatre, 420 S. Alamo St.

Civic
  • CPS Energy is seeking a 4.25% base rate increase from City Council. The increase will help with inflation, update its infrastructure, manage the city’s population growth, and the company’s growing staff. If approved, the new rate will go in to effect next year. (SA Report)

  • The City of San Antonio is looking for a full-time Communications & Social Media Coordinator. Job functions include coordinating media outreach activities, categorizing news clips files, transcribing media interviews, and more. Deadline to apply is tomorrow at 11:59 p.m. CST.
Biz
  • Arboretum San Antonio will receive $7.3 million from Bexar County for its 188-acre tree sanctuary. The funds will be used to purchase the Republic Golf Club course, master planning, development, construction and other associated costs. The design work will start in late 2024 and the Phase 1 build-out begins in 2025. (SA Business Journal)

Leaping lizards. Broadway San Antonio has something special for the city. The theater group is responsible for bringing the Tony Award-winning musical ANNIE to the Majestic Theatre for a limited time. This musical is based off of the iconic book + score celebrates the power of family, optimism, and the American spirit.
