So far this year, we’ve had 48 100° days in San Antonio and residents have been trying to find ways to cool off from these record breaking temperatures. With no end in sight from the scorching heat, we’ve rounded up seven places around the Alamo City to get all things shaved ice, raspas, snow cones, and more.

From the editor
Over the weekend, my best friends from high school, Erin and Mabel, tried to convince me to get matching tattoos. Full disclosure: I have a needle phobia and get light-headed at the sight of needles — my doctor gives me candy + water when they have to take my blood so I don’t pass out (yes, it’s that bad).

Apparently the tattoos were my idea — at least that’s what I’ve been told — but I was able to get out of it. However, I did show up for moral support and I brought Starbucks for the three of us.
