Closing

Grady’s Bar-B-Q permanently closed after 75 years in business. Founder Grady Cowert opened the barbecue joint in 1948 and served brisket, ribs, + chicken to generations of San Antonians. No reason was given, but a message on the site thanks loyal customers.

Development

Did you catch Civic Park’s construction update on Instagram? The Director of External Affairs gave a walkthrough of Phase 1 progress including planting 200 trees, the Great Lawn and the Springs. Construction is set to be completed in September.

Job

Are you looking for a new job? Box St. All Day is looking for hosts to add to its team. Applicants should have great communication skills, be dependable, and able to work weekends.

Opening

The Nest Boba Cafe — located at 6903 Blanco Road in north central San Antonio — is having its grand opening event this weekend starting at 12 p.m. Drinks are buy one, get one for the whole day — and there’s even a raffle for a Nintendo Switch.
