While English is still the most common language spoken in the US, studies show that ~67.8 million people speak languages other than English at home.
According to data from the US Census Bureau (reported by Stacker), 35.2% of people in the greater San Antonio area speak languages other than English at home. Here’s a breakdown of some of those languages as well as some cultural resources:
Salud America! is working to improve Latino health equity.
San Antonio Public Library’s Latino Collection & Resource Center aims “to achieve social equity through expanding educational and learning opportunities.”

Magnolia Pancake Haus’ February craft fairs will take place on Sunday, Feb. 5 and Sunday, Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the restaurant’s Medical Center location — 10333 Huebner Rd. This month, proceeds from the fairs will be donated to DaisyCares, a local nonprofit that aims to improve animal welfare.

San Japan, the largest anime and gaming convention in the South Texas Region, will return to the Henry B. González Convention Center on Friday, Sept. 1-Sunday, Sept. 3. While many details are still to come, here’s everything we know:
