While it’s fun to indulge in a little bit of retail therapy, we acknowledge that investing in your mental health is just as (if not more) important as what you wear on the outside.
Celebrating World Mental Health Day be as simple as taking several deep, grounding breaths, going on a walk, or phoning a friend.
Here are a few local resources to keep in mind.
National Alliance on Mental Illness - Greater San Antonio | NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. It’s also bilingual-friendly.
Young Minds Matter | As a much as 70% of young adults living with mental health problems report that symptoms started in childhood. The Bexar Health Collaborative hopes to address mental health at the root.
