If you’ve lost motivation to work, are feeling less productive, or find yourself worrying, feeling anxious, and stressed — you might need to take a mental health day.

Just like taking a sick day when our bodies are under the weather, taking a mental health day allows for our minds to rest and ensure our well being.

Here are four ways you can recharge your batteries in San Antonio.

Get some fresh air

Get out and about in your neighborhood while visiting one of our many local parks. We suggest the covered trails at O.P. Shcnabel Park. Plus, if you have a furry friend, go ahead and bring them along for the journey.

Enjoy a relaxing play date with your furry best friend at Coyote Park.

Not looking to do something active? Bring a loved one out for a picnic.

Do something creative

Put your hands on the ceramic wheel at Curator Coffee’s upcoming September workshops which include learning how to make ceramic mushroom garden stakes, mugs, and pumpkins.

Get in a workout

Sweat the blues away at 21 local gyms. If you’re in the mood to slow it down, check out our guide of where to practice yoga around the 210.

SATXtoday: free community yoga

Don’t miss: Mobile Om hosts free community yoga every Monday at San Pedro Creek Culture Park at 6 p.m.

Do self-care your way

If anyone knows what you need to recharge your battery, it’s yourself, so take the day to do whatever it is that brings you joy. Here’s how the SATXtoday team recharges their batteries:

  • City Editor Adriana loves to shop and browse the clothing racks at The Shops at La Cantera.
  • City Editor Nicholas enjoys relaxing by The Springs in Civic Park while reading a book.
