Texas’ favorite grocery chain, H-E-B, opened its newest store just minutes north of the Alamo City in Fair Oaks at 29388 IH 10 West — Boerne readers, we’re looking at you. Here, everything is better, or at least that’s what San Antonians say about their favorite neighborhood grocery store.

Besides being the go-to grocer for many San Antonians, H-E-B operates over 430 stores in Texas + Mexico, and has sales of over $43 billion. The company currently employs 180,000+ partners (what the company calls its employees) in over 300 communities — that’s a lot of apples. Fun fact: H-E-B has celebrated 118 years in operation.

Let’s move in and unpack this grocery giant’s latest venture.
