SAT celebrates first nonstop flight to Europe

The first flight to Frankfurt, Germany has taken off.

We’re ready for takeoff at SAT with Condor Airline’s nonstop flight to Frankfurt.

Our airport is growing up y’all. On Friday, May 17, the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) celebrated its inaugural nonstop flight to Frankfurt, Germany. It seems that September was just yesterday with the monumental announcement.

The new partnership allows San Antonians to travel abroad without traveling through major hubs like Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport or ATX’s Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

The nonstop flights are seasonal + will run during this summer and the next. The estimated economic boost these itineraries will have the local economy is projected to be $34 million. Travel days during the week are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through Sept. 6.

  • Roundtrip economy seats start at ≈ $700
  • Flight time is about 10.5 hours
