Tech Port San Antonio to host concerts at new event center

Innovation Center Arena

Earlier this year, we shared a list of developments to watch out for in 2022. One of them was the 130,000 sqft, $60 million Tech Port Center + Arena.

The venue is slated to open this spring and will feature:

  • A 3,000+ seat technology arena
  • A food hall
  • The San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology
  • A 24-hour electronic gaming area
  • A prototyping lab space

With DeLorean’s comeback on its way, it’s safe to say that this massive development is leading the way for the technology industry in the Alamo City. Now ahead of its grand opening, the new center just announced five upcoming shows that will have you ready to rock or sway side to side.

Here are the five shows you won’t want to miss:

  • The Smashing Pumpkins | Mon., May 2 | 6:30 p.m. | $125+ | Get ready to rage or mosh (we won’t judge) as this 90s rock band hits the stage and plays some of their major hits.
  • Kevin Gates | Sat., May 14 | 7 p.m. | $79+ | If you are a fan of rap music, enjoy a performance from American rapper Kevin Gates.
  • Carla Morrison | Sat., May 21 | 7 p.m. | $49+ | Baila toda la noche con esta cantante y compositora de musica indie-pop mexicano.
  • Papa Roach | Thurs., May 26 | 6 p.m. | $84+ | Rock out with Papa Roach + special guest Highly Suspect.
  • Tierra Sagrada Rockfest | Fri., Nov. 4 | 6 p.m. | $64+ | This performance will feature W.A.S.P. with special guests Michael Schenker Group and Armored Saint.

Pre-sale for tickets for these upcoming shows will begin on Thurs., Feb. 24 — use code: Techport for early access. If you’d like more information on this state-of-the-art entertainment venue, visit the website. Which concert are you most excited about? We would love to hear from you.
