That new jersey smell (not be confused with the state of New Jersey). San Antonio FC (SAFC) announced Community First Health Plans as a new team jersey partner. This is the first professional sports partnership for the organization and is the only locally owned + managed non-profit health plan in the 210. Community First’s logo appears across the center of the first team jersey and practice gear.

Beyond the patch

Outside of the shiny logo, Community First plans to make the soccer-going experience more inclusive with its sponsoring of ADA seating areas at Toyota Field in select seats across Sections 123, 127, 103 and 107.

In addition to the ADA seat sponsorship, the new partner will also fund the club’s first-ever sensory area pod, which will serve as a soothing space for those with sensory sensitivities. That’s not all, a breastfeeding pod is also coming to the field, allowing people a safe and private area to feed or pump. More details about placement and opening dates are coming soon.

In the community

Bringing it back to the field, Community First plans to help host the club’s five youth soccer clinics and play an active role in the SAFC Micro League.

To celebrate the new partnership, Community First is currently designing a mural at Toyota Field stretching from sections 103 through 107, which will be completed early in the 2024 season.
