If you love peach season in Texas just as much as the SATXtoday editors, you’ll want to head over to The Shops at La Cantera for a fun-filled day of peach-inspired festivities.

The Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau is bringing a taste of the Texas Hill Country on Saturday, June 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The facts

Peach season in Fredericksburg lasts through mid-August. With 600+ acres of trees, Gillespie County is one of the largest peach-producing counties in Texas. During this time, visitors can explore 15+ roadside peach stands + its farmers market with seasonal goodies.

The festival

Peach Fest encourages San Antonio residents to bring the entire family + furry friends (on leash or carrier, of course). Attendees can stroll as they sip + shop thanks to The Shops at La Cantera’s open container policy. Here’s what to expect from the day:

  • There will be live country music courtesy of Luckenbach Texas Pickers Circle.
  • The Hill Country Fruit Council will sell fresh peaches.
  • Wine, jellies, jams, salsas, soaps, and lotions — oh my — are available for sale via Fredericksburg wineries + specialty producers.
