If you’re anything like us, you’re probably expecting to get bombarded with the age-old question: What are your New Year’s resolutions?

While we’d like to be ambitious with our goals, we know that wanting to look like Dwayne Johnson is easier said than done cue Face Off by Tech N9ne ft. The Rock.

We want to kick off the New Year right with our list of resolutions for 2022 + our game-plan to achieve them.

Editor Ivan’s Resolutions

Check out a live concert at a new venue

  • The Alamo city has no shortage of live music events. I’m looking forward to checking out the incredible jazz musicians at LUNA or catching The Flaming Lips at Aztec Theater.

Try a restaurant you’ve never been to before

  • Listen, I love taquerias just as much as the next guy — hint: still thinking about Taquitos West Ave. — but 2022 is the year of stepping out of my comfort zone. I’ve been wanting to try the tosilog at Sari-Sari and shawarma platter at Luxor.

Take a class + learn a new skill

  • I’m no Chef Ramsey, yet, which is why I want to check out Sur la Table’s Perfect Steak Dinner class. 2022 is also the year I get over my fear of heights and sign up for a climbing class at Armadillo Boulders.

Establish a date night

  • It’s so easy to get caught up with work — especially when you have an audience as wonderful as ours. Something my partner and I would like to do is establish a monthly date night. On our list is to dine at Box St. All Day + give ceramics a shot at Throwin’ Gold Ceramics.

Want to go vegan, run a marathon , or maybe go on a stargazing excursion? Share your New Year’s resolutions with us + let us know how you’re going to check them off. We could feature you in a future newsletter.
