Elf Louise | The Elf Louise Christmas Project is dedicated to providing a bit of joy to children in Bexar county. This year they are looking for toy stockers + cleanup and breakdown volunteers

If you want to stay in your home

Raul Jimenez Dinner | While volunteer opportunities for delivering meals are closed, you can still give a monetary donation to feed 12,500 families on Thanksgiving day

Soldiers’ Angels | Every Thursday throughout the holidays, Soldiers’ Angels needs help to distribute 75 lbs of food to 200 homeless veterans and their families at their mobile food distribution site at Cowboys Dancehall.

Spare Parts San Antonio | This center for creative reuse is always seeking volunteers to help with sorting, organizing, and pricing material donations.

If you’re an animal lover

Animal Care Services | The shelter is nearing capacity and is in need of volunteers to foster pets this holiday season.

For the handy-worker

Habitat for Humanity San Antonio | Habitat builds homes year-round and needs volunteers to help with construction Tuesdays through Saturdays, 7:45 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

If you’re passionate about supporting local minority groups

Fiesta Youth | This organization serves LGBTQ+ teens and young adults. You can donate your time by facilitating weekly youth meetings + helping with their annual events.

San Antonio Threads | The mission of this non-profit is to provide youth with free new clothes and are always looking for volunteer “stylists” to give shoppers a VIP experience by assisting them with finding their correct sizes, colors + more

Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation | The organization rescues 10,000 animals per year and depends on volunteers to keep running. You can help by volunteering your time in its maintenance, rescue, or transport departments.
