Hey Alamo City, Ivan + Rossi here. Between the two of us, we get the privilege of sharing local news, events, and conversations with readers in San Antonio, daily — here, and on our socials.

After three-ish months of bringing you SATXtoday, we thought we should formally introduce ourselves. Consider this us going in for a fist bump, then switching to a handshake, then settling on a hug.

Meet Rossi 💕

Q:Describe your perfect day in San Antonio in the length of a Tweet (240 characters)

A: My perfect day in SA would start with a coffee from Poetic, then thrifting at FOUND + Tightwad Thrift, grabbing a bite to eat at Don Pedro’s, and ending the day walking my three dogs along the Mission Reach in Southtown.

Q:Describe San Antonio’s personality in three words.

A: I would have to say friendly, colorful, and delicious.

Q:What’s something every new San Antonian oughta know about?

A: We don’t call breakfast tacos burritos, that’s a big no no. It is and will always be a breakfast taco, lol.

Meet Ivan 🤠

Q: If you were taking someone on a tour around San Antonio, where are the three places you’re going?

A: Start the morning off with a farmers market at Pearl. Then, head to the SA Botanical Garden, and finally finish out the day with one of the best views of the city at The Moon’s Daughters.

Q: What secret menu item from a local restaurant are you kinda wanting to keep secret, but also kinda wanting to share with the city?

A: Half-brisket-half-turkey sandwich at Pinkerton’s BBQ.

Q: Hit us with your favorite piece of local trivia.

A: It is technically illegal for people to flirt or respond to flirtation using their hands or eyes in San Antonio — we have 12 more fun facts you need to check out.
