Beads and bling, it’s a Mardi Gras thing — and us San Antonians love a good reason to fiesta. While Tues., March 1 is the official day that Mardi Gras (aka Fat Tuesday) festivities will begin, you can expect celebrations all weekend long in the Alamo City.

  • Mardi Gras River Parade | Sat., Feb. 26 | 4-6 p.m. | San Antonio River Walk | Free | Celebrate Mardi Gras, San Antonio-style — Take the entire family to the River Walk to view 10 themed floats carrying costumed performers parade down the River.
  • Mardi Gras Festival at Six Flags | Now-Feb. 27, select dates | All day | Six Flags Fiesta Texas | $35+ | Dare to explore The Houngan House of Voodoo, feast on Cajun treats and drinks at the Taste of Mardi Gras Food Festival + more.
  • Mardi Gras Celebration at SeaWorld | Now-Feb. 27, select dates | All day | SeaWorld San Antonio | $50+ | This New Orleans-style carnival event comes complete with live music, extravagant costumes, and Mardi Gras-infused Creole and Cajun food.
