🥾Things to do
Visit one of the most beautiful swimming holes in the Lone Star State. Open daily from 8 a.m-6 p.m., swimming is available by reservation only — fees apply.
Explore nature while also going on a “treasure hunt” around the natural area. If you take an item from the Geocache, leave something of equal or greater value.
Wimberley Zipline Adventures
Thrill-seekers can also experience Texas Hill Country beauty from new heights. Located less than five miles from the natural area, this spot offers 10 zipline crossings with special discounts on Tuesdays.
🍽️ Fuel up after hiking
Los Olivos Market - Wimberly
Enjoy a market service-style wine room + restaurant with Texas eats and artisan goods. While you’re there, let a staff member guide you through a curated wine wall.
Desert Door Distillery
Make a short drive to Driftwood (9.1 miles away) for hand-crafted Texas sotol — similar to premium tequila. Visitors can also grab a bite from some of the surrounding food trucks.
The Leaning Pear
Is there anything better than Hill Country-inspired eats and plenty of outdoor seating? Owned by native Texans Rachel and Matthew Buchanan, this is a must-visit on your road trip getaway.
🏕️ Cozy stays
The Summit | Hays County
This spot offers spectacular views from the upper deck while also landing just a short drive from the town square.
Fall Creek Vineyards Chardonnay Room | Hays County
Enjoy a romantic getaway for two with the Fall Creek Vineyards at Driftwood Winery and Tasting Room just steps away. Have fun exploring the lush grounds surrounding the property while soaking in the Texas sun.
