Sip into spring: new local coffee shop offerings worth trying

Wake up and smell the orange vanilla latte — that’s how the saying goes right? The bluebonnets are peaking through, piles of clothes are waiting to be donated, and eateries are announcing new seasonal menu offerings which can only mean one thing — spring is officially here.

Our local coffee scene is tamping up some citrus sips, here’s a few drinks we’re looking to try this season.

Mas Cafe, multiple locations

The Primiavera Menu is here. Expect to sip on the Daddy is a State of Mind (cold brew with pistachio cold foam), Mujera Virtuosa (cold brew with rosemary honey cold foam), or try a little bit of everything via its Primiavera Flight.

Stranded Coffee Club, multiple locations

Need an excuse to visit its first standalone location? The Free Throw latte is your ticket. It consists of homemade orange vanilla syrup, espresso, and milk. Other spring items include the Bubble Bass, Hot Mulligan, and King Neptune.

Pro tip: Parking is limited (six spaces in total) so be sure to get here early if you’re looking to sit + sip a while.

Not in the mood for coffee? It’s Golden Hour with coconut milk is the perfect amount of refreshing and is pure tropical vibes.

Enjoy five spring drink menu items such as the Golden Hour (iced matcha + mango pureé), and the Spring Fling (housemade rosemary lavender syrup in a hot or iced latte). See the full list of drinks.

Feast your tastebuds on in-house blueberry syrup which pairs well as an iced matcha latte or milk-based bevys.

Spring comes in many flavors at Bright, like its Bluzu Matcha (matcha tea with blueberry yuzu syrup) and the Zesty Bestie (espresso, milk, and lemon bar sauce).
