We love pastries at SATXtoday. From tortillas to pan dulce, the Alamo City knows how to make some delicious dishes. If you’re traveling through the UTSA area on the city’s northside, we recommend stopping at 85ºC Bakery Cafe. This spot will leave you with a new kind of sweet bread craving.

Located at 12710 I-10 Frontage Rd., Suite 150, 85ºC Bakery Cafe is a southeast Asian baked goods chain that specializes in fresh, daily bread offerings such as cakes, pastries, and coffee. Fun fact: The reason for the name “85ºC” is a reference to the perfect temperature needed to pull an espresso shot.

Currently in its soft opening phase, the new cafe is a first for San Antonio and offers premium bread options at affordable prices. It’s hours are 10 a.m. until sellout daily through Thursday, June 27.

Grand opening deals

A grand opening celebration is planned for Friday, June 28 + Saturday, June 29, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday, June 30, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Arrive early Friday to be one of the first 25 customers to receive 15 free pieces of bread. The first 50 customers on Saturday + Sunday will receive a free t-shirt.
