Margaritas on wheels — does it get more SA than this?

It’s heating up here in the Alamo City and what better way to cool off then a frozen marg?

That’s why we’re rounding up a list of five SATXtoday approved sips that’ll keep you cool all summer long.

Costa Pacifica, 434 N. Loop 1604 W., Ste. 2101

Join this locally-owned Mexican seafood restaurant for its Happy Hour specials running all day Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday to Friday from 3-6 p.m. Our recommendation: bring some friends and order the grand one-liter cantaritos or frozen margaritas with any flavor of choice at half the price.

Thirsty Aztec, 200 River Walk St.

On the run? Snag some frozen margaritas to-go and take a stroll at the River Walk. This is definitely one of the most Instagram-worthy drinks on our list. Our recommendation: we’re dreaming of Da Azteca — mango, piña, strawberry, blue raspberry, three jello shots, two rum shooters, and one rum shooter.

La Laguna, 23535 I-10 W. Suite 3001

This Leon Springs restaurant is a mariscos-lover’s paradisebut, that’s not all. The bar also serves up some delicious + creative sips larger than your head (check out La Princessa Smirnoff). Our recommendation: try a not-so-typical flavor like duranzo (peach), jamaica (hibiscus), or tamarindo.

La Gloria, multiple locations

Flagship concept of Chef Johnny Hernandez, La Gloria has become a staple in San Antonio’s culinary tapestry. This is to say, the food is really really good, and the margaritas… well, they’re so good they created the Margarita Truck. Our recommendation: try the featured Margarita La Gloria with El Jimador Reposado, blue curaçao, Patrón Citrónge, lime juice, and agave nectar.

La Fonda on Main, 2415 North Main Ave.

Visit the oldest Mexican restaurant in SA (since 1932) and enjoy authentic sips + eats at its hacienda-style dining room or patio. Our recommendation: Mezcalero with Rey Campero mezcal, citrónage, fresh lime, and a chamoy chile rim.

Looking for a delicious drink without the buzz? Check out the Alamo City’s first dry bar at HASH vegan eats and its wide selection of mocktails. Cheers, San Antonio.
