Button up your guayabera, because we’re going to a party downtown. The fourth-annual Guayabera Festival is happening at Travis Park on Saturday, April 13, 1-7 p.m. The event is hosted by Centro San Antonio and Javier Trevino’s Divide and Conquer.

This pre-Fiesta celebration offers a full day of community + culture featuring live music performances by Volcan, Bexar Brass, and DJ Brukout. Festival goers can shop from 30+ local vendors selling food (like tacos and Chicken on a Stick), drinks, and retail items.

Referred to as the “Mexican wedding shirt” attendees are encouraged to dawn their own or purchase a hand-made guayabera at the free festival. The parking situation features walkable parking garages — like the Saint Mary’s Parking Garage at 205 E. Travis St. — private, and on-street parking options. Party goers are encourage to car pool or take public transit for the event.
