The Big Top has long since been taken down, but that’s not the last we will see of Cirque du Soleil. In fact, they’re returning to the Alamo City with a new show. Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you “Songblazers: A journey into country music.” This new country music-infused show brings the genre and acrobatic performances together for only eight performances.

Let’s jump into the details.

San Antonians can see the show from Aug. 21 to Aug. 25 at the Majestic Theatre — marking the first time Cirque du Soleil will headline a show inside a San Antonio theater. “Songblazers” pays homage to country music legends and new contemporary artists while also celebrating country music’s diverse influences.

Country artist and grandson of music legend Hank Williams, Sam Williams, has created an original song “Carnival Heart” for the show along with songwriters PJ Harding and Ned Houston.

Sound like a grand ‘ol time? Tickets are on sale now for Club Cirque members and general admission sales begin Thursday, March 28. We’ll keep you updated for any value nights as we get closer to curtain call.
