Need another reason to visit Fredericksburg? We don’t need much convincing to see our wine country neighbors to the North.

LB Development, a San Antonio-based real estate management firm, broke ground on a new mixed-use lifestyle center called The Sycamore and is slated to open in 2025. The space is designed around the core principles of culture and community by highlight the things that make Texas a unique travel + living destination.

Here’s what we know about The Sycamore:

  • 177-acre development on Luckenbach Road (Hwy 290 Wine Trail)
  • Includes restaurants and retail shopping
  • A green space (the Ellipse) featuring landscaped walkways, creek beds, a bandstand, and shaded canopies
  • Incorporation of multiple sustainable features (low impact design, rainwater harvesting, downlighting, and more)

The Sycamore also announced its first residency with the Texas-based restaurant Salt Lick BBQ. The 9,000-sqft restaurant + patio space will including its classic menu and Salt Lick Cellars — a tasting room and shop for the restaurant’s brand of wines.
