You’re probably familiar with San Antonio’s vast coffee scene. Last week, SATXtoday got the chance to explore a recently-opened spot near the Frost Bank Center. Let us introduce you to Oak & Saint.

The coffee

This isn’t just a regular coffee shop. Located inside the Andy Complex off Houston Street and Coca-Cola Place, this minimalist-styled business is a hidden escape from the hustle and bustle of San Antonio’s downtown atmosphere.

The almost year-old shop thrives on the art of Omotenashi, a Japanese principle that elevates hospitality to its highest form, and the Mexican spirit of Convivialidad (a cultural emphasis on warmth).

Here’s what to know before you go:

  • Located at 215 Coca-Cola Pl., Unit 220
  • Open Thursday through Sunday at various times
  • Offers coffee, food, and wine

Pro tip: The pastries are supplied by local brunch spot, Blush Restaurant + Bakery.

The social space

Wait, that’s not all. When ordering off the menu, you might notice a wall of white curtains. If you take a peak behind them, you’ll catch a glimpse of Safehouse.

This elevated environment is meant to create an intimate members only-space, similar to its coffee counterpart. Members have access to:

  • An elevated social lounge
  • Exclusive events + discounts
  • Co-working space
  • Member-only experiences in-house + outside the space

Learn more about the social experience and fill out an application today.
