We get it, it’s still a million degrees outside — but that’s not stopping Centro San Antonio, the City of San Antonio and Visit San Antonio from announcing Holidays on Houston Street. Returning for its second year on Friday, Nov. 29 through Thursday, Jan. 2, even Mr. Scrooge wouldn’t think about missing this festive celebration
What is Holidays on Houston?
Make your way downtown to enjoy a holiday nostalgic set against the backdrop of one of San Antonio’s most historic and charming promenades. This month-long event boasts holiday lights, festive family-friendly happenings, and holiday shopping opportunities.
Last year, over 700,000 locals and Alamo City visitors ventured downtown to experience the holiday cheer. Here’s what visitors can except this year:
- ~400,000 mini-LED lights strung on 80+ trees and over-size ornaments on Houston Street, from Legacy Park to the Alamo
- Illuminated flame atop the 75-ft Por Vida mural — at the corner of Houston and Navarro streets
- A variety of businesses, shops, and hotels will feature holiday decor + specials
