At Judson Independent School District, students are more than just prepared for the real world when they graduate.

How? They’re equipped for successful careers in high-demand fields through Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.

Major league learning

These high school programs offer comprehensive courses that combine academic learning with hands-on, real-world experiences, culminating in industry certifications and post-secondary credentials.

Judson ISD offers 29 unique programs of study, designed to prepare students for high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand careers in the Lone Star State. Focusing on relevant experience, the curriculum ensures students graduate ready to enter the workforce or continue their education.

Pro tip: Courses have been approved by the Texas Education Agency following the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V).

CTE programs cover a wide range of career clusters, with specific programs offered at each high school:

  • Judson High School | Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources; Arts, Audio/Visual Technology & Communications; Business, Marketing & Finance; Health Science; and more.
  • Wagner High School | Engineering, Health Science (Biomedical); Hospitality; Information Technology; Manufacturing, and more.
  • Veterans Memorial High School | Cosmetology, Education & Training, Arts & Audio Visual Technology, Information Technology, and more.

Students not only gain valuable skills, but also align with the local labor market needs (think: projected job growth and annual job openings) while participating in these programs.
