Do you have any upcoming travel plans that involve acquiring a passport? The city announced its Passport Services office has moved to a new location in City Tower at 100 W. Houston St., Concourse. Access services — like new passport applications and passport photos — are by appointment only.

We broke down the process for you below.

Locations

Besides the passport office in City Tower, San Antonio has 16 passport offices. We listed a few below:

  • Arsenal Station, 1140 S. Laredo Street
  • Bexar County District Clerk, 101 West Nueva
  • Encino Park Station, 20403 Encino Ledge
  • Lockhill Station, 12951 Huebner Road

How to apply

To apply for a U.S passport you must:

  • Make an appointment
  • Fill out this form
  • Provide evidence of U.S citizenship as well as a photocopy
  • Bring an official ID + a photo copy
  • Get your passport photo
  • Calculate your fees.

The U.S Department of State recommends applying six months prior to your travel.

Passport renewal

The Bexar County District Clerk’s Office can only process passport renewals if a passport has been damaged. Follow this link for a step-by-step guide about renewing.
