Rolling into the weekend like... | Photo provided by YMCA of Greater San Antonio

With Fiesta only a few days away, you might start seeing that calendar of yours fill up faster than you might think, especially for this weekend.

With so many things to do, we thought we’d curate a special SATXtoday-approved itinerary to help you ease your FOMO and have a spectacular three days of fun before Monday (Sunday scaries, anyone?) rolls around.

Friday

  • Kick off your weekend after work with the 8th annual International Music Festival that showcases global artists + cultures from around the world. Catch a performance by The Miró Quartet at the San Fernando Cathedral for free (registration required) — check out the lineup.

Saturday

  • Start your morning at Guadalupe and Brazos Street near the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center for the 26th César E. Chávez March. DJ Plata will play San Antonio tunes + host a morning rally — complimentary coffee and refreshments will be provided.
  • For lunch, head on over to 1135 Mission Rd. for the free annual Taste of the Southside event. The beloved festival will feature the culture, food, art, and music of SA’s vibrant Southside.
  • End your day with a shopping spree at Fiesta Kickoff Market at Brick at Bluestar. The event will feature the best festive local vendors, a Fiesta photo booth, and a henna tattoo artist.

Sunday

  • Start your morning with a free Zumba, HIIT, body combat, or standing yoga class at the free community-wide event, Síclovía.
  • For lunch, grab your bike, skateboard, or rollerblades for a stroll on the closed city streets in celebration of Síclovía beginning at Roosevelt Ave. and ending at the South Flores H-E-B on César Chávez Blvd. There, you’ll encounter live music from the AM Project, pet stations, family-friendly activities, and over 30 local vendors to shop from.
  • Close the weekend at the Beautify San Antonio Park near King William for a free outdoor mobile concert hosted by Agarita, SA’s innovative chamber ensemble performing classical + contemporary music.
