Currently, San Antonio is at stage 4 out of 5 risk level making it a severe threat as numbers continue to rise daily. The risk level is determined by warning indicators that are updated regularly.
Let’s look at numbers:
- A total of 360,847 have been reported in Bexar County.
- There are ~2,358 new cases daily.
- Currently, 625 patients are hospitalized with 142 ICU patients.
The City of San Antonio recently announced three new mass testing sites for the public at no cost, but they also want to remind you to stay vigilant and look out for these signs when it comes to testing site scams.
New testing sites:
- Alamo Colleges District Support Operations Building, 2222 N. Alamo St. | Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Palo Alto College Building 23 + Building 20 – Performing Arts Center, 1400 W. Villaret Blvd. | Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- St. Philip’s College, 1801 Martin Luther King Dr. | Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Vaccination numbers:
- CoSA’s reports that 86.8% of the population has at least one vaccination dose with 71.2% of the city fully vaccinated. There are two mass vaccination sites as well as other pop-up clinics you can visit at no cost. Pro tip: select locations are giving out free H-E-B gift cards as an incentive.
